Stuff You Need

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6 to 7 ounces each), trimmed

Topping

  • ¼ cup minced fresh basil
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

Preheat and Prep the Topping

Adjust oven rack to the upper-middle position and preheat to 425°F.

In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper.

Assemble the Chicken

Pat chicken dry with paper towels and place in a 13×9-inch baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine basil and mayonnaise, then spread evenly over the chicken.

Top with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

Bake and Serve

Bake until the topping is golden and the thickest part of the chicken reaches 160°F, 18 to 22 minutes.

Serve with lemon wedges.
