Baked Parmesan-Garlic Chicken Breast

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (6 to 7 ounces each), trimmed

Topping

  • ¼ cup minced fresh basil
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Pat chicken dry and place in 13x9-inch dish.
  • Mix basil and mayonnaise; spread over chicken.
  • Top with breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
  • Bake until golden and chicken reaches 160°F, 18 to 22 minutes.
  • Serve with lemon wedges.
