Ingredients (~6 servings)
- 1 (16 oz) bag frozen petite corn
- 1 tsp granulated sugar or honey
- 1/2 tsp salt, plus more to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, diced
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, diced into cubes
- 3 slices bacon, cooked and diced
- 1 Tbsp chopped green onion (optional)
Add Everything to the Slow Cooker
Place the corn in a 3.5 to 6 quart slow cooker and sprinkle with sugar, salt, and pepper.
Pour in the milk then scatter the cream cheese cubes and butter pieces over the corn.
Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or on low for 4 to 5 hours.
Stir and Finish
After cooking, stir the mixture well – it’ll look curdled at first but keep stirring and it’ll come together into a smooth, creamy consistency.
If you want it thicker, let it rest about 10 minutes with the slow cooker turned off; the residual heat will thicken it up.
Taste and add more salt if needed.
Add Toppings and Serve
Sprinkle the cooked bacon and green onions on top or stir them right into the corn.
Serve warm as a side dish.

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn
This is wicked simple and makes enough for a family dinner with leftovers. I grew up on creamed corn from a can but this version blows that out of the water – the cream cheese makes it ridiculously creamy.
