Stuff You Need
- 2 large Hass avocados
- 1 Roma tomato, diced
- 2½ tablespoons red or white onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, chopped (seeded for less heat, if preferred)

- ¼ teaspoon salt
Make the Flavor Base
In a molcajete or mixing bowl, lightly crush the chopped onion, cilantro, jalapeño, salt, and the juice of 1 lime.
Use a fork if you don’t have a mortar and pestle.
Add and Mash the Avocado
Add the chopped avocados to the bowl. Mash to your desired consistency—chunky or smooth.
Finish and Serve
Gently fold in the diced tomato.
Taste and adjust with more salt or lime juice if needed.
Serve immediately.
