Ingredients

  • ½ pound large shells pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning or 1 packet
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 cup jarred salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef in a pan, then drain the fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and water; stir and cook until the water evaporates.
  • Return pasta to the pot and stir in salsa and cheese.
  • Mix until well combined and heated through.
  • Serve immediately, topped with crushed tortilla chips if desired.
