Ingredients

  • pounds chicken wings cut at joints, wingtips removed
  • ¾ teaspoon fine salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • tablespoons white miso paste
  • tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove finely minced
  • 2 scallions thinly sliced
  • teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Pat the wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Arrange them in an even layer in the air-fryer basket (some overlap is fine).
  • Place the basket in the air fryer, set the temperature to 400°F, and cook until the wings are golden brown and crisp, 18 to 24 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, miso, honey, vinegar, and garlic until smooth.
Add the cooked wings and toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with scallions and sesame seeds before serving.
