Preheat oven to 400F.
Mix garlic and olive oil in a small bowl, pressing garlic against sides to release juices.
Place asparagus on rimmed baking sheet and pour garlic oil over top.
Toss to coat evenly and spread in single layer.
Season with salt and pepper.
Roast 15 minutes until tender.
Sprinkle parmesan evenly over asparagus and return to oven for 1 minute until cheese melts and starts to brown.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
